Peer Review Process / Policy

All manuscripts submitted to Heylaw Journal of Law, Economic and Technology are evaluated through a structured and transparent review process to ensure academic quality and integrity.

Stage 1: Editorial Screening

The editorial team conducts an initial evaluation to assess whether the manuscript fits the journal’s focus and scope. At this stage, all submissions are screened for plagiarism and self-plagiarism using Turnitin.

Stage 2: Double-Blind Peer Review

Manuscripts that pass the initial screening undergo a double-blind peer review process by two or more reviewers who are experts in law, economics, technology, and international relations.

Reviewers evaluate the substance and research methodology according to the journal’s review guidelines and provide recommendations for:

  • Acceptance without revision
  • Acceptance with minor revision
  • Acceptance with major revision
  • Rejection

Authors may be requested to revise their manuscripts based on comments and feedback from the reviewers.

Stage 3: Final Check and Editorial Decision

Before publication, the revised manuscript is re-scanned using Turnitin to ensure the final version is free from plagiarism and self-plagiarism.

The final decision is made by the Editor based on reviewer reports and editorial judgment.
