Publication Ethics
Heylaw Journal of Law, Economic and Technology is committed to maintaining the highest ethical standards in all stages of publication. This statement outlines the responsibilities and expected conduct of all parties involved in the publication process including authors, editors, reviewers, and the publisher.
1. Integrity and Originality
- Authors must submit original manuscripts that have not been published or submitted elsewhere.
- Plagiarism, self-plagiarism, and duplicate publication are strictly prohibited.
- All sources must be properly cited and all contributors properly acknowledged.
2. Peer Review Process
All submissions are reviewed through a double-blind peer review process. Reviewers are required to evaluate manuscripts objectively, maintain confidentiality, and disclose any conflicts of interest.
3. Editor and Publisher Responsibilities
- Editors make publication decisions based solely on academic quality and relevance.
- All submitted manuscripts are treated as confidential.
- Editorial decisions are free from commercial or external influence.
4. Conflict of Interest & Disclosure
- Authors and reviewers must declare any potential conflicts of interest.
- Sources of funding and financial support must be disclosed.
5. Ethical Conduct in Research
Research involving humans or animals must comply with applicable ethical standards and must include ethical approval and consent where required.
6. Corrections, Retractions & Transparency
If significant errors or ethical concerns are identified after publication, authors must notify the editorial team promptly. The journal may issue corrections or retract articles as necessary. Supporting data should be made available unless legally restricted.
